Practical Support: 
- Newborn care
- Preparation of nourishing meals and snacks 
- Light housework such as: tidying up, doing the dishes, making sure baby stations are stocked, helping with laundry
- Set up "nests" -- baskets that can be in common areas of the home containing essentials such as: diapers, extra clothes, snacks for the parents, burp cloths, water bottles, phone chargers, etc. 
- Support for all family members: making sure everyone gets a chance to eat, sleep, shower and have some personal time
- Engage with older siblings
- Supporting you in making to-do lists, planning ahead, and organizing household tasks 
- Helping to schedule visitors and being a point of contact when needed
- Company going to doctor's appointments
- Running errands
- Preparing herbal infusions and sitz baths

Information:
- Evidence-based information on topics such as: newborn care, safe sleep, postpartum mental health, nutrition, post-birth healing, newborn feeding and more
- Referrals to trusted local resources for services such as: mental health care, postnatal massage, chiropractic care, acupuncture, reiki, lactation consultation, sleep coaching, childcare, holistic pelvic health care & more

Emotional Support:
- Companionship and emotional support for all members of the family 
- A supportive presence through the ups and downs of the postpartum period
- A listening ear to talk and process your birth and postpartum experience
- Support in writing, recording or making art about your birth experience 
- Support in creating placenta prints 
- Assistance setting up altars or designing supportive rituals

Because every family and birth experience is different, I customize my services to meet each family where they're at. During our intake meeting we will come up with a plan that fits your individual style and needs.

Services I Do Not Provide:
If you need some of these services, I'd be happy to offer suggestions or local referrals!
- Medical or clinical care (including diagnosing, treating, or giving medical advice)
- Lactation consultation
- Overnight care
- Speaking to medical professionals on your behalf 
- Deep cleaning or full house cleaning 
- Tasks that are solely childcare or babysitting (including childcare outside of the home or without the parents present)
- Sessions without the birthing parent present (unless otherwise discussed)
- Pet care (walking, feeding, cleaning up after pets)
- Driving clients, children, or family members
- Sleep training
- Home organization or home makeovers (though I can offer these services separately through Secret Garden Organizing
